MULTIFUNCTIONAL INTEGRATED DC–DC CONVERTER FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Abstract
This paper introduces a multifunctional isolated DC-DC converter for electric vehicles. The proposed multifunctional isolated DC-DC converter improves the power density by integrating the on-board chargers (OBC) and the low-voltage dc-dc converter (LDC). The proposed multifunctional isolated DC-DC converter has three operation modes: OBC charging mode, OBC discharging mode, and LDC mode. In order to validate the proposed multifunctional isolated DC-DC converter, a prototype is assembled with a 3.3-kW on-board charger (OBC) and a 1.5kW low-voltage DC-DC converter (LDC).
