This project proposes two new multi-cell schemes for Active Switched Capacitor qZSI (ASC-qZSI) and active switched capacitor/switched inductor qZSI (ASC/SL-qZSI) topologies. Detailed theoretical models for the proposed schemes are developed. Moreover, extensive performance comparison with the several existing active and passive qZSI topologies is presented. Appropriate simulations and experimental studies have been carried out which verify the theoretical proposals. It is concluded that the proposed topologies can be useful in practical applications requiring large DC-AC voltage gain for example in renewable systems with low-voltage sources like photo voltaic or fuel-cells.
